There is no mathematical significance to 64 laps—and that’s intentional.
Autism is different for every individual and every family. No two people with Autism are exactly alike, and there is still so much we don’t fully understand or can predict. The number 64 was chosen to reflect that reality and to remind us that Autism doesn’t fit into a single mold.
It’s a conversation starter, and that’s exactly the point.
The Outside Pole Position Auction is one of the event’s largest fundraising initiatives.
Rather than awarding the position through qualifying, fans, sponsors, friends, family members, and race teams have the opportunity to support their favorite driver by making donations to Racers 4 Autism. Every dollar raised goes directly toward Autism-related charitable initiatives.
The driver whose supporters raise the most money earns the Outside Pole Position while helping make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by Autism.

All children aged 12 & under must be supervised by an adult.
They are fully handicapped accessible and have reserved handicap seating in the bleachers. Handicap parking spaces for vehicles are noted with signage along the front of the parking area.
(Please note: Some of their pathways are gravel and may be difficult for wheelchairs. If you contact the track ahead of time through email they can arrange assistance.) marcy.albanysaratoga@gmail.com
Blankets are allowed (to reserve space early). Please, DO NOT use tape or any type of glue. You may use bungee cords, rope or even shoelaces to attach them, but NO TAPE.
Small cameras/video recordings only. NO telephoto or zoom lenses larger than 5X. Please support the tracks official photographer (Kustom Keepsakes). They have high quality photos for sale at the speedway. Any photos taken at the speedway are not allowed to be used for resale. Warning: Live audio & video recording and transmission of any event is strictly prohibited! If caught, your device will be confiscated.
Smoking is NOT allowed in the grandstands. Smoking is still permitted on the grounds, just not while seated in the grandstands.
Parking is ALWAYS free!
Overnight parking available. No camper hookups are provided.
The money raised by Racers For Autism goes to fund the Autism Acceptance Race, to fund any paid advertising or promotion for the race, and to pay for any non-volunteer help for the race. After those expenses have been accounted for, all raised funds are issued to Autism focused not-for profit organizations whose mission aligns with the mission of Racers For Autism.
If paid by Thursday August 27th the entry fee is $50.00 and the driver has the chance to participate in the fundraising efforts to secure the pole position. (see Race Info page for more details)
If paid after Thursday August 27th the fee is $75.00 and the driver will not have the option to participate in the fundraising efforts to secure the pole position.
Yes – the rain date is Friday September 18, 2026.
Pit passes are traditionally $30.00 for members and $35.00 for non-members. These are subject to change and we recommend checking the track website for the most up to date information. https://albany-saratogaspeedway.com/
The race will follow the DIRT Car format with timed hot laps, heat races, etc.
Albany Saratoga Speedway handles all rules, technical information, and procedures.

Up to 32 cars may qualify and start The 2026 Upstate Chevy Dealers Autism Acceptance Race.
Winning the Autism Acceptance Race is a significant accomplishment, and we believe previous champions have earned the opportunity to compete in future events if they experience issues during qualifying.
Three provisional starting positions are reserved for previous race winners. If more former winners require a provisional than there are positions available, the provisionals will be awarded based on each driver’s performance in that night’s qualifying events.
If any provisional positions are not needed, they will be awarded to the next highest finishers in the B-Main
Starting positions 30, 31, and 32 are reserved as provisional starting positions for previous winners of the Upstate Chevy Dealers Autism Acceptance Race.
Drivers currently eligible for provisional consideration include:
- Rich Crane (2022 Winner)
- Chad Jeseo (2023 Winner)
- Rob Yetman (2024 Winner)
- Pete Stefanski (2025 Winner)
If three or fewer eligible former winners require a provisional, they will receive the available starting positions.
If more eligible former winners require a provisional than there are positions available, the provisional starting spots will be awarded based on each driver’s finishing results from the night’s qualifying events.
If one or more provisional positions are not needed, they will be awarded to the next highest finishing driver(s) from the B-Main.

You do not need to attend the race to make a difference. Donations of any amount are always appreciated and help Racers 4 Autism continue its mission of promoting Autism acceptance, creating opportunities for individuals on the Autism spectrum, and supporting Autism-related initiatives throughout our community.
If you’d like to support a specific driver in the Charity Outside Pole Auction, you can do that online during the auction period. Otherwise, you can make a general donation to Racers 4 Autism at any time through our website.
